| Since the Speaker will be acting to give the ruling of IC actual authority and since we will need ATO help for upcoming elections I respectfully request this group to begin processing requests for cs after the upcoming CP elections. I further request that for the time being only those candidates who are requesting cs to help with ATO efforts be considered for cs. | |

| Jonathon was and dare I say still is a big supporter of the IC but it's definitely a change to have a Speaker with a heavy hand. | |

| We have a candidate that is interested, but at the request of the Speaker and with the voting occuring on the Political Defense Act we will hold off on approving ANY candidates until after CP Elections and the act has been implemented. | |

He may be, but the Congressman who approves without IC approval is not.

Then IMO we should start by enacting The Political Defence Act ASAP. CP elections are over, and we can not activate the act without the explicit permission from IC. Without the act activated, any congressmember can skirt the IC's decisions. You only want ATO Members in? Enact the PDA. It's designed especially for that. - DMV3 wrote:

He may be, but the Congressman who approves without IC approval is not. Actually, now that The PDA has passed, it will likely be expected that unless the act is activated, banning someone for, say, letting in the good Doctor will not be a legal response. Since there is now a law specifically for that event, one could argue that because the act isn't activated, one is not doing anything wrong because if it were wrong, the act would be activated. See where I'm going with this?

Once IC decides that we have a PTO threat, and announce it publicly, and congress votes to activate the act, Then no one can skirt the IC's decisions without facing a ban and/or blacklist. - The Political Defense Act wrote:
- Article 2: Security
1. When this act is in effect, no member of congress may accept citizenship request(s) unless said citizen is a validated ATO member, or is otherwise specifically approved by the Immigration Council. I fail to see what point you were trying to make, but the act specifically gives IC some nuts.
