| First, let me congratulate you on choosing forumotion to make this forum. I have been using forumotion for almost a decade now, and it's my favourite forum builder.
If you'd like, Homer, make me an admin. My extensive knowledge in forumotion, as well as me expertise in graphic design would be a very valuable asset to the success of this forum.
Of course I would not do any major changes without first consulting you. If you wish, I could send you a few examples of various forums i've designed (if I can find the URL's to them all... lol

| On the topic of the color scheme, can we get a new one in general? The red on black (while I completely support your plan to subliminally indoctrinate all forum users to support the MDP) is a little much. | |

| Hello to everyone, this month I`ve been selected as the Uruguayan Ambassador of Canada so you`ll have to deal with me for a couple of weeks. I`m posting here because I`m having trouble to create a new topic on the "Embassy Zone" section since whenever I try to add my country a sign jumps in telling me that only admins can do that. I hope we can solve this as soon as possible Looking foward to hear from you guys! | |

| Congrats on the new forum, Homer. Can I assume that we've got an ad-free subscription? I ask for 2 reasons: 1st I see no ads, and 2nd the amount of space between our headline banner and the actual forum irritates the designer in me. Assuming an ad-free subscription, you should look into the forum templates with a view to removing the ad-space reservation. Thereotically it shouldn't even be there if you've paid to have no ads. But it is using up 90 vertical pixels 'tween the main menu buttons and the forum listings. The banner is great, but the main menu buttons are horrible. Can't all the buttons use the same graphic format as , and use the real-estate economy of the Preview/Send/Go keys (which are -- I know -- html post buttons whose size is dictated by various browser variables, but I'm sure you get the drift. My point is: we're not idiots and don't need oversized buttons ... and although I'm now over 60, I hope my need for large-text and phones with buttons the size of match books is still a good couple of decades away. Rant over ... But make the forumotion geeks give you back the adspace they're stealing from you!! | |

| Let me address this one in points 1- It's a free forum, no one has paid anything. Forumotion just don't have ads. 2- The only space at the top is the chat box. I made a global announcement when I put it there asking whether people preferred it at the top, bottom or off and an overwhelming majority said to keep it at the top. 3- The buttons are some that Lelouch designed and is trying out. I'm sure he is open to feedback and happy to try something different. My initial thoughts were that the buttons were a little big as well but then I thought that might make things easier for those on mobile devices. Anyway, thanks for the feedback. It's always good to know what people think so we can deliver a forum that will be used. I'll discuss your points with the other admins and see what we come up with | |

| I've moved The Anaconda's post, with my reply, to the Congress public section as it is an issue that congress would need to discuss before taking further | |

I'm working on new buttons.. I admit these are rather large, but as homer said, they work really well on my smart phone I can see what I can do about making them similar to the nav buttons, however, since I did not design those, It would take me a little bit to build each one in the same format, and if I can not find the exact font used, I'll have to remake them all to match.. Since Canada day is tomorrow, and my work schedule irl is tight until friday, I can't exactly give you an ETA of when everything will be ready, but rest assured i'll be on it asap. ~Lelouch

1- It's a free forum, no one has paid anything. Forumotion just don't have ads. Sorry if I came across as a grouch. I just have thing about wasted screen space ... when I arrive at a page I like to see the meat without scrolling. Being nosy and -- just -- geeky enough, I drilled down through the page source to find out why there is so much space between the main menu button-bar and the actual page content. Turns out there's a 90 pixel tall area reserved for flying iFrames ... the div name for it clearly indicates it's a place holder for advertisements. That was why I asked. Obviously we're not seeing any ads and that's fine. I was just bothered that maybe someone had paid for ad-removal .... I also found out why there's a wider gap between the Home and Search buttons

| This is the home page as I see it: and when I'm in a forum: Apart from the chat box on the main page I fail to see the space you are talking about. Do you see it different to me? P.S. You don't come across as a grouch | |
